Saludos. I am back in Montana for a short break, headed to Chile once again next week for another five week window of guiding. Fishing has been quite good so far, and plenty of big fish (up to 29") have already been caught, photographed, and released. It has been an incredible year of fishing, and the dry fly bite has been exceptional. We have been quite lucky with the weather so far as well, pretty typical of early summer in Patagonia- a little bit of rain, a little bit of sun, and a little bit of wind- not really enough of any one to ruin the day.
So, I am going to head back next week. Stocked up with Gypsy Kings (size 2), Sparkle Minnows (size 4), some fresh General, and more sunscreen. Ready to finish the season, hopefully just as it began.
My Montana season is just around the corner, and things are looking great for another fantastic season. Bookings have been steadily coming in all winter, and I think 2015 is going to be another good one.
